RECESSED PLATE FILTER PRESS
In the recessed type of press the recess is formed by o raised rim which stands above the drainage surfoce ond rhe thickness of coke formed is therefor twice the depth of the recess of individual plates. The slurry to be filtered is normally foed into the filter press through o central hole that feeds each chamber the some time. The solids ore retained within the recessed hollow chamber and the filtrate posses through the media into on internal manifold or away through drain cocks or directional bibs.
PLATE AND FRAME FILTER PRESS
In the plate and frame type of press the chonbers ore formed by the use of o hollow frame which is p laced between two p lates whose rim or ioint surf aces ore nearly flush with their drainage surfaces. The slurry to bo filtered is fed ino the press through o molnfold for mod by ports in each plate and frame and delivered into each frame by suitable connecting ports. The solids ore retained within the media into a collection moinfold by way of additional ports in the p lates or through drain cocks or directional b ibs.
MEMBRANE PLATE FILTER PRESS
The membrane sys1ems hos proved to be useful ln certain applications, typical of which filtration of dyes, p lgmet1ts and yeast slurries.
VISCOSE FILTER PRESS
P. P. Plate and frame, spedolly designed for the filtration of Viscose, Acrylic fibre, Staples fibre, etc.
AUTOMATIC FILTER PRESSES
In conventional fllrer presses the entire filtration operation is mainly manual and sometime messy. There was thus always o need for outomizotion in its working to cut operational cost of long run. PANAMA ENGINEERING COMPANY developed technology whkh con toke core of most of the filter press operations.
